If the creator has enabled downloads, you can save a public Reel by: Tapping the Paper Plane icon (Share) on the Reel. Looking for the Download button in the bottom menu.

If your draft uses licensed music from Instagram’s library, the video may save without sound to comply with copyright rules.

The video will download as an .mp4 file directly to your camera roll.

Swipe down to your Control Center (iOS) or Quick Settings (Android) and enable Screen Recording .

Choose the draft you want to save and tap the (pencil) icon.
