The software is organized into seven primary tools, accessible via tabs at the top of the interface:

AntConc is a free, multi-platform developed by Laurence Anthony. It is used by linguists, educators, and researchers to perform "distant reading" by analyzing patterns across large collections of digital texts. Core Capabilities

: Counts the frequency of every word in the corpus, typically sorted from most to least frequent.
